Sweat Enhances Fitness App with AI Assistant Mia

Sweat, a fitness application that rewards users with SWEAT tokens for their physical activities, is set to enhance its service through the introduction of Mia, an innovative AI assistant. Mia, short for “Movement in Action,” utilizes the Near AI infrastructure to deliver a more personalized experience to users, with the launch slated to occur within the Sweat Wallet application.

Expansion and Integration with Blockchain Networks

As Sweat prepares for a significant expansion by incorporating various blockchain networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain, the new AI feature aims to streamline how users interact with the platform. According to Sweat co-founder Oleg Fomenko, these chosen chains represent robust ecosystems characterized by active decentralized finance (DeFi) engagement, ample liquidity, developer tools, and large user communities. The application also has ambitions to integrate with additional projects in the future, including Solana, Bitcoin, and The Open Network (TON).

Mia: The Conversational AI Assistant

Mia is designed to facilitate user inquiries in plain language, eliminating the need for cumbersome tutorials or complex interfaces. Whether users want to understand how to earn SWEAT, explore the app’s features, or learn about asset management—such as swapping or staking—Mia aims to deliver a seamless and conversational experience. This AI assistant will be accessible through a chat feature within the Sweat Wallet app on both iOS and Android devices, assisting with fitness tips and financial inquiries, such as optimal exercise times or participation in social challenges.

Future Prospects and User Engagement

Looking ahead, Sweat plans to enrich Mia with more personalized features, including smart notifications about staking, transaction safety, and other relevant insights. Fomenko emphasizes that Mia could play a pivotal role in encouraging mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency, making it easier for individuals—even those who are entirely new to digital wallets—to engage confidently in the crypto space.

Growth Ambitions and Rebranding Effort

With a reported 20 million individuals currently holding SWEAT tokens, the company aspires to significantly broaden its user base. Fomenko highlighted that their mission to attract one billion users is founded on the belief that physical activity serves as a universal and welcoming entry point into the Web3 environment. The app transitioned into the crypto realm after successfully raising $13 million in 2022 to facilitate this shift, following a successful Web2 phase.

Furthermore, Sweat is embarking on a comprehensive rebranding effort in conjunction with the launch of Mia and its multi-chain initiative, including a revamped website. Fomenko believes that if Mia is successfully implemented, it will lead to quicker user onboarding, greater interaction with the app’s multi-chain functionalities, and improved retention rates.

“The goal is to create a smoother transition from being physically active to engaging meaningfully within the Web3 community,”

he added.
