Alchemy Pay Partners with ZBX Group

In a strategic move amidst evolving regulations in Europe, Alchemy Pay has struck a significant partnership with the ZBX Group—a company that has earned its place among the few licensed crypto asset service providers recognized by the Malta Financial Services Authority under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. This collaboration, characterized by a “dual-engine” framework, aims to facilitate the integration of Alchemy Pay’s fiat gateway for cryptocurrency users across Europe, addressing a pressing industry challenge related to compliance.

Strategic Stake Acquisition

The announcement, made on October 2, indicates that Alchemy Pay has acquired a strategic stake in ZBX, which was established in 2018 and is noted for successfully navigating the rigorous approval process that only a handful of firms, such as Circle, Robinhood, and OKX, have managed to complete since the MiCA framework began issuing licenses in January 2025. This development positions Alchemy Pay to operate more freely within Europe’s increasingly regulatory environment, leveraging ZBX’s established status to ensure compliance while offering enhanced services.

Comprehensive Solutions and Future Collaboration

The partnership between the two firms is poised to yield comprehensive on- and off-ramp solutions that will integrate popular payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, and local banking channels. Additionally, there are indications that this alliance may lead to further collaboration, potentially evolving into joint governance and shared equity, pending regulatory approvals.

Global Expansion and Compliance Commitment

This initiative in Europe follows Alchemy Pay’s earlier investment in Asia, where it engaged with HTF Securities in Hong Kong—a licensed entity governed by the Securities and Futures Commission. This strategic venture equipped Alchemy Pay with crucial Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses, all essential for securities trading and asset management, while also opening avenues for virtual asset operations. Through these efforts, Alchemy Pay aims to implement its compliance-first business model in two critical global markets: Europe and Asia.

As Alchemy Pay forges ahead, it highlights its commitment to navigating the intersection of cryptocurrency and traditional finance, ensuring that its offerings are not only innovative but also aligned with the stringent regulatory standards of significant financial jurisdictions.
