Bitget’s Commitment to Digital Education

Bitget has made a significant commitment to enhance digital education for youth by supporting UNICEF’s inaugural global Game Jam, a virtual hackathon aiming to inspire creativity in young game developers from eight different countries. This initiative will run for 40 days and invites participants aged 21 and under from nations including Armenia, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, and South Africa.

Blockchain Training Program

As a part of this collaboration, Bitget will also introduce its first blockchain training program with UNICEF, aimed at providing valuable digital skills. This educational module will focus on teaching essential blockchain practices relevant to video game development, such as smart contract implementation, tokenization techniques, and decentralized gaming structures. The initiative expects to benefit around 300,000 individuals, especially targeting adolescent girls, along with their mentors and guardians, across the involved countries.

Empowering Youth through Technology

Gracy Chen, the CEO of Bitget, emphasized the importance of early access to digital skills for children, highlighting that emerging technologies like blockchain could empower the youth to become innovators and entrepreneurs worldwide.

With this partnership, Bitget aims to foster inclusivity in the tech space, especially for young women leaders, aligning with their ongoing efforts under the Blockchain4Her initiative, which recently unveiled the “Lady Forward” campaign. This campaign seeks to expand support for women in the blockchain industry through partnerships with universities, internships, and leadership development programs.

Success of Blockchain4Her Initiative

Since launching Blockchain4Her in early 2022, the initiative has already demonstrated success, having financially backed 11 female-led startups via competitions and actively engaging over 300,000 participants through strategic collaborations with UNICEF’s Game Changers Coalition. Furthermore, it builds upon the earlier Blockchain4Youth campaign, introduced in May 2023, which is focused on instilling digital literacy and entrepreneurial skills among students through hands-on experiences and guidance.
