ETHGlobal Taipei 2025 Hackathon
The ETHGlobal Taipei 2025 hackathon took place in April 2025 from the 4th to the 6th in Taipei, China, and was dedicated to fostering advancements in Ethereal technology while driving innovation in the global developer community. During this event, participants showcased a remarkable 226 projects, out of which eight innovative concepts were highlighted for their exceptional potential and progress.
Finalist Projects
These finalists comprised: Signals, Ethereum Fighter, Cellfi, AskCiaShen, Solva, “How Doxxed Am I?”, DynaVest, and Nomadia. Each project explores various areas, particularly in cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, privacy protection, and novel payment solutions.
1. Signals – Bitcoin Price Insights
Signals revolutionizes the traditional cryptocurrency prediction market by employing a dynamic model where users can forecast Bitcoin price ranges. This platform utilizes crowd-sourced predictions to generate actionable insights, providing real-time updates on market sentiment and incentivizing accuracy through a reward system. Unlike typical binary prediction models, Signals captures nuanced group behavior, making it a vital tool for investors looking for reliable market trends.
2. Ethereum Fighter – DeFi Gaming
This game allows players to engage in battle using AI agents while maintaining their strategy confidentiality through fully homomorphic encryption technology. With features that encourage newbies to explore decentralized finance (DeFi) in an entertaining manner, Ethereum Fighter incorporates large language model technology to enhance gameplay and learning.
3. Cellfi – Offline Cryptocurrency Payments
Addressing accessibility, Cellfi empowers users to conduct peer-to-peer transactions via SMS using USDC stablecoins without requiring an internet connection. This initiative opens up cryptocurrency services to approximately 3.8 billion mobile phone users worldwide, fostering participation in the digital economy by leveraging SMS for seamless transactions.
4. AskCiaShen – AI Portfolio Management
Aimed at improving investment decisions, AskCiaShen uses an AI agent for on-chain portfolio analysis and optimization. By tailoring the user interface according to skill levels, the platform accommodates both novices and advanced users, allowing personalized investment strategies based on individual DeFi activities.
5. Solva – User-Friendly Payment App
Solva positions itself as a straightforward payment solution that eliminates the complexity often associated with cryptocurrencies. Designed to be equivalent to popular services like Venmo, users need not grasp technical jargon; instead, they experience a seamless, fee-free way to make payments—all while retaining control over their underlying wallets.
6. “How Doxxed Am I?” – Privacy Protection Tool
This tool raises awareness of the identity risks posed by blockchain activities by informing users about potential leaks from their wallets. It serves as a digital hygiene check, similar to existing tools used by agencies, but aims to enhance privacy measures for everyday users in the DeFi landscape.
7. DynaVest – Automated DeFi Strategies
DynaVest offers an AI-driven approach to managing decentralized finance strategies by optimizing user-selected methods based on risk tolerance. Through automated interactions and execution, users can effortlessly engage with DeFi protocols while staying informed of market trends.
8. Nomadia – Local Currency Exchange
Nomadia facilitates off-chain currency exchanges between users who can validate their real identity. Leveraging interactive mapping and real-time chat features, this app grants users a secure means of conducting transactions without relying on banks or intermediaries, promoting ease of face-to-face transactions.
