In an effort to bolster security, the exchange has partnered with SlowMist for detailed audits of its systems. Two strategic options have been laid out by SlowMist to assess and reinforce the platform’s security protocols.
Audit Strategies
The first proposed strategy is a thorough audit of KiloEx’s entire system, which is projected to take around 45 days. This exhaustive evaluation aims to ensure that every aspect of the platform is secure before it goes live again.
Alternatively, the second option involves an initial audit concentrating specifically on the platform’s permissions framework. This focused evaluation seeks to identify and mitigate risks that could lead to incidents analogous to prior security breaches. Depending on the findings from this first phase, KiloEx will make a determination about whether to move forward with the full relaunch.
Following this initial review, SlowMist will subsequently conduct a more expansive audit inspecting the platform’s protocols and economic structures, which is expected to take a shorter time than the complete audit.
KiloEx’s Decision
Understanding the excitement from its community regarding the platform’s revival, KiloEx has decided to pursue the second strategy. They will initiate the permissions audit as their first step.
