Bybit’s Return to India

Bybit is set to restore full functionality to its website in India within the next three to four days, coming during a significant phase of its operations. The company encourages users to download the Bybit app, available on both the Google Play and Apple App Store, marking a key return to the crypto trading environment in India.

Commitment to the Indian Market

This restoration illustrates Bybit’s commitment to the Indian market, which is recognized as one of the quickest-growing regions for digital assets. Earlier in 2025, the exchange took major steps to align with local regulations, having registered with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India in January as a compliant reporting entity in adherence to the country’s Prevention of Money Laundering Act. This registration allows Bybit to offer a variety of services including Spot trading, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading, all governed by stringent Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and enhanced security measures.

Partial Resumption of Operations

As of February 25, Bybit partially resumed operations, enabling authenticated users to access trading functions while ensuring that regulatory concerns were addressed extensively prior to the full restoration of both the app and website.

Leadership Insights

Ben Zhou, the Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, underscored India’s potential as a significant digital asset market, expressing enthusiasm about reinstating complete operations. “India is among the most promising digital asset markets globally. We are excited to resume normal business and reaffirm our devotion to delivering Indian users with secure, transparent, and world-class cryptocurrency experiences,” he stated.

Community Initiatives and Education

Furthermore, Bybit is not just focusing on trading but aims to bolster India’s crypto ecosystem through education and community initiatives. Vikas Gupta, the Country Manager for Bybit India, highlighted the company’s broader vision to facilitate growth in the sector. This includes its involvement as Title Sponsor for the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which recently kicked off in Hyderabad and will continue in New Delhi, fostering discussions and knowledge-sharing among over 800 participants, including traders, builders, and students.

Promotions and Global Trends

In addition, Bybit has launched the World Series of Trading 2025, showcasing new user promotions featuring welcome bonuses and rewards, encompassing prizes like cars and iPhones. Such initiatives signify a global trend where cryptocurrency exchanges are strategically investing in emerging markets, tapping into the surging retail interest in digital assets and positioning India as a pivotal center for innovation in this burgeoning sector.
