Dragonfly’s Commitment to Privacy Technology
In light of potential charges being considered by the U.S. Department of Justice against employees of Dragonfly, Haseeb, a representative of the firm, reiterated the company’s commitment to privacy technology in the cryptocurrency space.
Investment in Tornado Cash
Haseeb pointed out that Dragonfly had made an investment in PepperSec, Inc., the developer of Tornado Cash, in August 2020 because of their belief in the significance of open-source solutions that facilitate privacy.
Legal Backing for Development
This decision was backed by prior legal counsel which confirmed that the development of Tornado Cash adhered to legal standards and was consistent with FinCEN guidelines issued in 2019, a division of the U.S. Treasury.
