Surge in Share Prices
The shares of French real estate company Entreparticuliers have witnessed a staggering 800% increase within a week, following its announcement of a strategic pivot towards accumulating Ethereum assets. This surge has significantly enhanced the company’s market capitalization, which now stands at approximately €23.44 million (or about $25.78 million), a dramatic rise from around €1.35 million in January—an increase of over 1,800%, according to data from Google Finance.
Investment Plans
On Monday, the firm disclosed its plan to initiate a purchase program for an initial investment of €1 million in Ethereum (ETH), funded by major shareholder Stéphane Romanyszyn.
To further develop this Ethereum reserve, Entreparticuliers is in the process of creating a variety of financial instruments targeted at professional investors and financial collaborators. Notably, both the company and Romanyszyn have indicated that they will avoid using aggressively dilutive financial mechanisms, such as equity lines.
Shareholder Engagement
Shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on additional funding contributions during a general meeting set for June 18, which includes resolutions that could authorize up to €150 million.
Company Background and Strategy
Founded in 2000 by Stéphane Romanyszyn, Entreparticuliers has traditionally functioned as a real estate marketplace since going public on Euronext Growth in 2007. The platform facilitates direct transactions between individuals for buying, selling, or renting properties, eliminating the need for intermediaries.
This recent transition is part of a larger strategic realignment for the company. According to information shared through its dedicated crypto platform, Entreparticuliers is evolving from a conventional real estate service to an innovator in digital finance.
It aims to provide investors with “simple and regulated exposure to Ethereum” via its publicly listed shares, marking a significant shift towards Ethereum investment, staking, and the development of tokenization solutions for tangible assets like real estate and bonds.
