Prenetics Expands Bitcoin Holdings
Prenetics, the health science firm known for its association with David Beckham, has made a significant commitment to Bitcoin by acquiring an additional 100 BTC tokens. This acquisition was announced on October 31, 2025, shortly after the company completed a successful equity fundraising round that raised $44 million, closing on October 28, 2025.
Bitcoin Treasury Growth
This latest purchase brings Prenetics’ total Bitcoin treasury to 378 BTC, with the new tokens acquired at an approximate rate of $109,594 each. The total value of their Bitcoin assets is now nearing $41 million. This follows an initial investment made in June 2025, where the company purchased $20 million worth of Bitcoin.
Strategic Importance
CEO Danny Yeung emphasized the strategic importance of this move, stating that it aligns with the vision previously communicated to investors.
With a robust total liquidity of $127 million—the majority of which is in cash—the company is in a solid position without any debt obligations. This financial stability is seen as crucial for executing their growth strategy.
IM8 Brand Success
The firm’s IM8 supplement brand continues to thrive, having recently achieved a milestone of $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Looking ahead, Prenetics projects that the IM8 brand could reach between $180 million and $200 million in revenue for the fiscal year 2026.
Future Plans
Yeung reiterated that while expanding IM8 remains a priority, the strategy to build their Bitcoin treasury is an essential aspect of their long-term goals to enhance shareholder value.
Going forward, Prenetics plans to maintain its Bitcoin acquisition strategy, committing to a daily purchase of 1 BTC along with larger buys when market conditions are favorable, particularly when prices dip.
