Recent Bitcoin Purchases by Publicly Traded Firms

Recent data from SoSoValue reveals that as of October 6, 2025, total weekly purchases of Bitcoin by publicly traded firms, not including those in the mining sector, reached a substantial $678 million. Notably, the firm formerly known as MicroStrategy, which has been a significant player in the Bitcoin market, did not add to its holdings during this period.

Major Contributors to Bitcoin Investments

A prominent contributor to the total investment was the Japanese company Metaplanet, which invested a staggering $616 million to acquire 5,268 Bitcoins at an average price of approximately $116,870 each. This strategic move has bolstered Metaplanet’s Bitcoin portfolio, raising its total to 30,823 Bitcoins.

Additionally, three other corporations also expanded their Bitcoin reserves last week:

  • ANAP: The Japanese fashion retailer purchased 9.3999 Bitcoins for $1.11 million on September 30, at an average price of $118,204.60, increasing its overall holdings to 1,111.02 Bitcoins.
  • BHODL: This Bitcoin-focused firm invested $1.12 million on the same day, adding 10 Bitcoins to its count at a price of $113,311, which brings its total to 122 Bitcoins.
  • Zooz Power: The Israeli energy technology firm announced its initial investment of approximately $60 million on September 30, acquiring 525 Bitcoins valued at $114,285.71 each.

LiveOne’s Bitcoin Treasury Initiative

On October 1, the digital media and entertainment company LiveOne disclosed to its shareholders that it successfully executed a $45 million restructuring plan. The company’s board also greenlit a significant Bitcoin treasury initiative, potentially worth up to $500 million.

Aggregate Bitcoin Holdings

Currently, the aggregate Bitcoin holdings among global publicly traded companies, excluding those involved in mining, amount to 864,210 Bitcoins. This accumulation reflects a market value of around $107.43 billion, representing approximately 4.34% of Bitcoin’s total circulating market cap.
