Standard Chartered and Coinbase Partnership
In a significant development for the crypto financial landscape, Standard Chartered and Coinbase have unveiled a broader partnership aimed at enhancing digital asset services tailored for institutional investors across the globe. This initiative seeks to harness the strengths of both organizations, integrating Standard Chartered’s extensive banking knowledge and risk management capabilities with Coinbase’s preeminent institutional trading platform.
Focus of the Collaboration
The focus of the collaboration is on a suite of essential services, including trading, prime brokerage, custody, staking, and lending solutions, collectively aimed at providing a secure and compliant framework for digital asset management.
Building on Previous Agreements
This new phase in their relationship is built upon their previous agreement established in Singapore, where Standard Chartered facilitates real-time exchange of the Singapore Dollar for Coinbase customers.

“By merging Standard Chartered’s expertise in cross-border trading and custody with Coinbase’s cutting-edge capabilities in digital assets, we are keen to investigate opportunities for creating solutions that are secure, transparent, and mutually compatible while adhering to strict security and compliance criteria,” she added.
Global Presence and Vision
Standard Chartered has a presence in 54 vibrant markets, driving economic activities with a diverse array of support, while Coinbase aims to enhance global economic freedom through cryptocurrency, serving over a billion users with comprehensive trading and infrastructure solutions.
