Strategy Announces Daily Dividends on STRC Preferred Stock

In a move that could enhance its appeal to investors, Strategy has announced daily dividends on its STRC preferred stock for the month of November, pending approval from shareholders and amendments to be implemented. Michael Saylor’s Strategy, recognized as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, will initiate cash dividends from November 1 through November 30, with the first payments distributed on November 2.

Dividend Details

According to a recent Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, dividends will be paid on the business day following their record date, and the annualized rate for these dividends is set to remain at 12% for November.

Stock Performance and Strategy’s Goals

Strategy’s management intends to maintain this dividend rate until STRC exhibits consistent trading around the $100 mark, particularly since the stock has recently struggled, trading at $99.32 and experiencing a slight drop of 0.2% on Friday as of 1:36 PM UTC, as reported by Yahoo Finance.

Importance of STRC Stock

The STRC stock is integral to Strategy’s fundraising efforts aimed at acquiring Bitcoin, which has seen the company increase its digital asset holdings to a total of 848,250 BTC, following a recent purchase of 250 Bitcoin amounting to $21.5 million. Notably, during the week leading up to October 4, Strategy allocated $176 million for stock repurchases, overshadowing its $28 million investment in Bitcoin.

Capital Framework and Future Outlook

On June 29, Strategy introduced a capital framework designed to enable the use of Bitcoin sales for funding dividends, while also raising STRC’s annual dividend rate to the current 12%. As the company seeks to stabilize the trading value of STRC, the declaration of daily dividends may attract more investors, potentially nudging the stock closer to its par value of $100.
