The funds contributed by Runefelt are earmarked for two significant projects: one at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Tanzania and another at the Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital in Zimbabwe. In Tanzania, his donation will facilitate the creation of a specialized surgical suite designed for children, significantly addressing the current deficiency of pediatric surgical facilities. This upgrade is projected to boost the number of surgeries at the facility from approximately 200 annually to a staggering 2,080, and it will also serve as a training center for local healthcare professionals.
At the Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital, the contribution is set to enhance surgical capabilities with the acquisition of laparoscopic instruments, allowing for safer procedures that promise faster patient recovery times.

Garreth Wood, co-founder and chairman of KidsOR, acknowledged Runefelt’s significant donation and hinted at the potential adoption of his cryptocurrency suggestion. He remarked,
