Stacks

Stacks is a blockchain protocol that brings smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to Bitcoin. It aims to enhance Bitcoin’s functionality by enabling users to build applications that leverage the security and stability of the Bitcoin network while introducing its own native cryptocurrency, STX. Stacks uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of Transfer (PoX), which utilizes Bitcoin to secure transactions, allowing developers to create innovative solutions on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.
