Statement Summary
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have announced an extension of the compliance date for amendments to Form PF until October 1, 2025. Originally set for March 12, 2025, and previously extended to June 12, 2025, this change allows additional time for certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds, including those registered as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisers, to prepare for the amendments. The extension aims to ensure filers have adequate time to program and test for compliance.
Original Statement
The Securities and Exchange Commission, together with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, today voted to extend the compliance date until Oct. 1, 2025, for the amendments to Form PF that were adopted on Feb. 8, 2024. The compliance date for these amendments was originally March 12, 2025, but was previously extended to June 12, 2025. Form PF is the confidential reporting form for certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds, including those that also are registered with the CFTC as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisers. This extension will provide more time for filers to program and test for compliance with these amendments.
