Bybit’s Transformation in Türkiye
In a bold move to enhance its offerings in Türkiye, cryptocurrency exchange Bybit is planning to evolve into a comprehensive financial service platform or “super app.” This transformation aims to provide users with a variety of financial services, including payments, investment products, and international transfers, far exceeding its current functionalities of merely facilitating cryptocurrency trading.
Market Potential and Vision
CEO Ben Zhou identified Türkiye as a critical market, ranking among the top five globally for crypto exchanges, and expressed optimism that as regulatory frameworks clarify, Bybit’s operations there will grow significantly.
Future Goals
Zhou’s vision is to create a platform where users can manage day-to-day financial transactions, such as making payments using stablecoins and conducting international money transfers. However, achieving this goal will require obtaining additional licenses beyond those a standard crypto trading platform holds.
“We want to transform Bybit into a super application in Türkiye,” Zhou stated emphatically in an interview with Fintechtime that was published on October 2.
