JPMorgan Chase’s JPM Coin Activity

Recent findings from the research firm Sentora reveal that JPMorgan Chase’s JPM Coin has not exhibited any supply or transfer activity on the Ethereum blockchain following its long-anticipated launch. The cryptocurrency, which was introduced for institutional clients on October 19, has shown a static balance of approximately $1 million on the Base platform, with no changes recorded since November 2025. Sentora’s assessment highlights that only one address has been allowlisted within the Ethereum contract, raising questions about adoption and usage since the bank’s initial rollout of the deposit token.

Token Functionality and Market Activity

The deposited token is designed to represent U.S. dollar deposits at JPMorgan, facilitating transactions related to institutional payments and securities settlement. This launch marks a notable expansion from the token’s origin, which was first implemented in November 2025 on the Base network.

On the same note, Sentora’s analysis identified significant transactions in J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s tokenized liquidity fund, noting that $400 million worth of JLTXX redemptions occurred on Ethereum between October 21 and 22. Meanwhile, the fund’s deployment on Solana surged to $450 million from virtually nothing, though there were no indications that the same investors were involved in both networks.

Integration and Connectivity Issues

Sentora emphasized that while the absence of transfers on Ethereum was notable, it did not provide historical transfer data for Base, which complicates establishing a direct link between the two networks’ activities. Furthermore, the report pointed out that there is currently no integration between JPM Coin and any of the bank’s money market funds or decentralized finance protocols, indicating limited operational connectivity.

New Investment Opportunities

In a concurrent announcement, JPMorgan Asset Management confirmed the availability of the JLTXX fund and its My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) to select U.S. investors on the Solana network as of October 22, emphasizing the need for liquidity across multiple blockchain platforms. MONY, which is intended as a private placement fund, and JLTXX, a registered government money market fund designed to support stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act, present new investment opportunities, though they come with specific access restrictions due to compliance regulations.

Notably, MONY has a minimum investment threshold of $1 million, together with management fees of 16 basis points. Designed to invest in U.S. Treasury securities, MONY seeks to maintain a stable $1 value per share, although it cannot assure investors of this stability. The FAQ section for MONY outlines that investments are not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, which also serves as a reminder regarding the inherent risks associated with such financial products.

BNY Mellon’s Digital Asset Integration

Meanwhile, in related news, BNY Mellon recently made headlines with a tokenized Treasury repo transaction involving Citadel Securities, a move viewed as a significant step forward in the integration of traditional financial markets with emerging digital asset operations. BNY has announced plans to further enhance its digital asset offerings and to extend its traditional settlement services into additional trading hours, underscoring the evolving landscape of finance in a digital age.
