Lace Wallet Phishing Alert
Lace, a Web3 wallet designed for the Cardano ecosystem, has alerted its users about an ongoing phishing scheme targeting mobile wallets. This warning was shared via the official Lace X (formerly Twitter) channel, highlighting that counterfeit applications masquerading as the Lace wallet have been discovered on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These deceptive apps are credited to a developer named “SK App Technology.”
Understanding the Risks
Phishing scams like these are a common occurrence in the cryptocurrency sphere, where con artists trick users into downloading false wallet apps that can capture private recovery phrases. If an individual inputs their seed phrase into one of these imitation apps, their digital assets may be stolen in moments.
Official Lace Mobile Application Status
An important note for users is that the authentic Lace mobile application has yet to be launched; it is a project being developed by Input Output Global (IOG), the firm responsible for the Cardano and Midnight blockchains. Currently, Lace is only accessible as a browser extension compatible with Chrome, Brave, and Firefox. A mobile version is indeed planned but is not available at this time.
“Our official mobile app is NOT live yet; we’ll announce it here first,” the Lace team reiterated in their advisory.

The developers caution the Cardano community to remain alert and disregard any mobile applications claiming to be linked to Lace. Users are encouraged to download resources exclusively from the official website lace.io and await announcements regarding the forthcoming mobile version.
