Warning from the Shiba Inu Community

In a recent post on X, Mazrael, a veteran member of the Shiba Inu community and an advisor for Shiba Eternity, emphasized an important warning for those involved in the SHIB ecosystem. He made it clear that no “new” or “official” accounts or communication channels exist yet. Any future updates about such channels will be shared through the official website, shib.io. This reminder comes amid a growing wave of fake accounts looking to exploit the popularity of Shiba Inu, leading community members to be vigilant when interacting with profiles claiming to represent the project. As of now, the Shiba Inu ecosystem has not introduced any new official outlets for communication.

LEASH v2 Update

In a conversation on X, a user inquired about LEASH v2, to which Mazrael replied,

“ready and audited. Foundations first.”

LEASH v2 is poised to update and replace the original LEASH token, which is now termed version 1 (v1). This new version addresses a previously existing issue by closing a rebasing gap that allowed fluctuations in token supply. Additionally, LEASH v2 has undergone an audit by Hexens and is set to launch in a structured manner across various phases.

Sixth Anniversary of Shiba Inu

Shiba Inu recently celebrated its sixth anniversary, marking the launch date of August 1, 2020, by its unidentified creator, Ryoshi. The journey of Shiba Inu has faced various challenges and critiques, especially amidst a quiet year for many cryptocurrencies, including SHIB, which has experienced continued downturns in the current bear market of 2026.

Ongoing Development in the SHIB Ecosystem

Mazrael pointed out that although market conditions have been slow, Shiba Inu developers remain engaged in continuous behind-the-scenes efforts. His message,

“Builders keep shipping,”

reflects ongoing development within the SHIB ecosystem. He revealed that the developers have expanded their resources to include 18 pages of documentation that detail ERC-4337 gasless transactions, a Crypto Payments API, and hosted on-chain data endpoints, alongside the ShibaSwap SDK. These developments are crucial as they provide the necessary tools for developers to build consumer applications on Shibarium, marking a pivotal progression for the ecosystem.
