Strive’s Bitcoin Acquisition

Strive, an emerging player in the cryptocurrency market, has significantly bolstered its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring an additional 469 Bitcoin for a total of approximately $36.6 million. This acquisition, finalized by September 11, elevates Strive’s corporate treasury to a remarkable 25,000 BTC, marking a key achievement in the company’s ongoing Bitcoin accumulation strategy.

Details of the Acquisition

The company disclosed details of the transaction through a Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, revealing that the purchase occurred between September 8 and September 11 at an average price of around $77,954 per coin. Prior to this acquisition, Strive held 24,531 BTC, which allowed them to reach the milestone of 25,000 BTC.

CEO’s Announcement and Previous Acquisitions

CEO Matt Cole took to social media platform X to announce the update, signaling that Strive is in a “wall-breaking season” regarding its Bitcoin strategy.

This latest acquisition follows a busy acquisition period for the company, during which it purchased 1,800 BTC for roughly $143 million from August 24 to August 28, at an average price of $79,431 per Bitcoin. The August purchases propelled Strive to fifth place among publicly traded companies based on Bitcoin holdings.

Funding the Acquisitions

To finance these purchases, Strive tapped into funds generated from its sales of Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, traded under the SATA ticker. Such preferred shares offer the company advantages in its capital structure, sitting above common stock and helping to prevent dilution for existing shareholders. By issuing SATA shares, Strive raised substantial funds for its Bitcoin investments, which is notable as its nominal issuance value has now exceeded $1 billion.

Market Performance and Strategic Positioning

In the context of the broader market performance, Strive has seen its Bitcoin holdings grow steadily from April’s figure of 14,557 BTC, when its Bitcoin asset holdings were valued at over $1 billion. The firm emphasized that its engagement in preferred-stock financing rather than traditional common-stock sales helps avoid diluting the ownership percentages of existing shareholders.

The firm is proactive in informing U.S. investors about its Bitcoin acquisitions and financial strategies via its SEC filings, which detail the volume and cost of its Bitcoin purchases, as well as its asset portfolio. This enables investors in Nasdaq-listed ASST to assess their exposure to Bitcoin fluctuations and the company’s financial maneuvers.

Current Financial Position

As of September 11, in addition to its 25,000 Bitcoin treasury, Strive claimed to have approximately $204.2 million in cash, representing a stable asset independent of Bitcoin’s market volatility. Furthermore, the company held 505,000 shares of STRC stock, a preferred stock issued by Strategy, valued at about $49.81 million as reported.

Strategic Maneuvers and Future Outlook

Strive’s current treasury has been shaped by strategic maneuvers, including its merger with Semler Scientific and a previous reorganization involving Asset Entities, which had been approved in September 2025. This progressive accumulation of assets has positioned Strive favorably within the competitive landscape of corporate Bitcoin holders.
