Binance Announces Delisting of Margin Trading Pairs

Binance, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced its intention to remove 12 margin trading pairs, effective September 3, 2026. This decision notably impacts well-known cryptocurrencies such as SUI, Avalanche (AVAX), and Chainlink (LINK), particularly in relation to their trading pairs with Bitcoin.

Details of the Delisting

The exchange specified that on September 3, beginning at 06:00 UTC, these trading pairs will be officially delisted. A total of 12 pairs will be affected, with five under Cross Margin and the rest categorized as Isolated Margin. The specific pairs set for removal are:

  • SUI/BTC
  • AVAX/BTC
  • LINK/BTC
  • TNSR/USDC
  • SXT/USDC
  • TURTLE/USDC
  • AIXBT/USDC
  • BREV/USDC
  • USDE/USDC
  • WBETH/ETH
  • BFUSD/USDT
  • BNSOL/SOL

Important Dates and User Actions

On the day prior, September 1, at 06:00 UTC, Binance will halt any borrowing against these isolated margin pairs. As the delisting process begins on September 3, users should be particularly mindful as Binance will:

Close all user positions, execute automatic settlements, and cancel any awaiting orders related to these pairs.

The entire delisting procedure is projected to take around three hours, during which users will be unable to modify their positions.

In light of these changes, Binance advises its users to manage their investments by closing any positions or transferring their assets from Margin Accounts to Spot Accounts ahead of the September 3 deadline to avert potential losses. However, it is important to note that trading for the mentioned tokens still remains available through alternative pairs on Binance Margin.

Additional Token Discontinuations

Additionally, on the same date, Binance will also discontinue trading for three more tokens: ICON (ICX), Secret (SCRT), and Storj (STORJ), following a recent review of its offerings. Trading for these tokens is scheduled to cease at 03:00 UTC on September 3.

Conclusion

This significant update signals Binance’s ongoing efforts to streamline its services and adapt its margin trading strategy in response to market trends and regulatory considerations.
