Koscom’s Presentation at Korea Fintech Week 2026
Koscom, a South Korean fintech entity, is set to present its innovative shared platform for tokenized securities during the upcoming Korea Fintech Week 2026, coinciding with the anticipated enactment of new blockchain securities regulations in the country. As reported by Yonhap News Agency on October 13, this major event will take place from November 25 to November 27 at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, and is organized by the Financial Services Commission of South Korea.
Innovative Infrastructure for Tokenized Securities
The firm aims to highlight its infrastructure that aids securities companies looking to navigate the evolving tokenized securities landscape. This platform encompasses a range of functionalities, including securities issuance, account management, and interconnectivity among various financial systems. In a strategic move, Koscom has engaged in memorandums of understanding with 13 different securities firms to establish a collaborative framework for tokenized securities initiatives.
Collaboration and Development
In collaboration with LG CNS, Koscom has successfully completed its joint development of an issuance framework and conducted tests using the Korea Securities Depository’s facilities for managing token securities volume. At the fintech exhibition, Koscom plans to share insights from their platform development journey, along with testing outcomes and partnerships with participating financial firms.
Regulatory Framework and Industry Response
The developments at the exhibition come at a pivotal moment, as South Korea prepares to roll out its tokenized securities regulatory framework on February 4, 2027. Recently, the Financial Services Commission has proposed changes to the legislation governing tokenized equities, bonds, funds, and fractional investments. This public consultation period is currently open until November 11, allowing inputs from various stakeholders.
In anticipation of these regulatory updates, several South Korean financial institutions have been proactively creating their own tokenized systems. Notably, Hanwha Investment & Securities launched a platform in September that leverages Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu technologies, culminating from a partnership with blockchain specialist FairSquare Lab since 2025.
Similarly, KB Securities is collaborating with Securitize and the Optimism Foundation to design tokenized funds tailored to institutional investors, starting with a proposed money market fund on the OP Mainnet. Eugene Investment & Securities has also made strides, entering an agreement with BEATOZ to trial stablecoin settlements for tokenized security subscriptions, building on a platform it developed in 2024 and a subsequent pilot with the Korea Securities Depository.
Additionally, Meritz Securities has joined forces with Ripple to investigate digital asset custody and tokenization infrastructures for institutions, aligning their efforts with the prevailing regulations as South Korea establishes its digital asset policies. LG CNS, having collaborated with Koscom, recently finalized a separate agreement with Securitize focused on tokenization technology and institutional digital asset offerings.
AI-Driven Financial Data Analysis Services
Apart from its tokenized securities solutions, Koscom will unveil AI-driven financial data analysis services at the exhibition, featuring the K-EFS, a predictive stock score tool developed with LG AI Research. Furthermore, Koscom will offer consultations regarding financial cloud solutions for fintech initiatives and the D-Testbed program, aimed at supporting the testing and refinement of financial technologies.
