Strive Increases Bitcoin Holdings
Strive, a company listed on Nasdaq that specializes in Bitcoin holdings, has recently increased its Bitcoin treasury by acquiring 3,311 BTC over the past week, marking a substantial rise in its total assets to 32,773 BTC. This was announced by Strive’s CEO, Matt Cole, on October 13, as part of a broader update involving the company’s financial maneuvers and the terms related to its preferred stock placement.
Recent Acquisition Details
The recent addition of 3,311 BTC has propelled Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings from the previous count of 29,462 BTC, reflecting an approximate increase of 11.2%. Strive did not disclose the specifics regarding the purchase price or the overall expenses involved in this transaction.
This acquisition is one of the largest weekly purchases made by Strive since it initiated its strategy of enhancing its Bitcoin treasury back in 2025. Prior to this, the company had obtained 469 BTC in September for about $36.6 million, incrementing its Bitcoin reserves to 25,000 BTC. Updates indicated that its holdings had risen to 27,462 BTC by September 28, eventually reaching 29,462 BTC before this latest purchase.
Warrant Transactions and Preferred Stock Issuance
Additionally, on the same day of the announcement, it was reported that Strive executed $208 million in warrant transactions as investors converted portions of their holdings ahead of a deadline. As of October 13, roughly 15.3 million warrants were outstanding, which could be exercised by investors until 5 p.m. EST. Earlier filings indicated an exercise price set at $27 per share for these warrants, allowing holders to acquire common stock at that price before expiration.
Furthermore, Cole confirmed that the company has instated a minimum issuance price of $100 for their SATA preferred stock, a decision now legally binding in their operational documents. This restriction formalizes the limits on future share issuances under the SATA program, which was initially communicated in March as part of the company’s preferred stock issuance policy.
SATA Preferred Shares and Dividend Rates
The SATA preferred shares act as a financing tool for Strive’s Bitcoin procurement initiatives, offering cash dividend distributions to investors. As per the latest information, Strive maintained an annual dividend rate of 13% for these shares beginning in October, promising daily payments throughout the month.
Future Outlook
Strive’s expansion strategy highlights its approach to financing Bitcoin reserve growth through equity and warrant exercises, aimed at enhancing the value attributable to its common shares. Strive’s aggressive treasury approach has been complemented by its acquisition of Semler Scientific in January 2026, which introduced an additional 5,048 BTC to its balance, further solidifying the company’s foothold in the cryptocurrency market.
As the company looks ahead, the timeline for remaining warrants to be exercised will play a critical role in shaping its financial landscape, influencing both capital availability for Bitcoin purchases and the overall share count in the market.
